Waterway Cleanup Series Kickoff Event - Willamette River at Meldrum Bar Park
Join SOLVE for the kickoff event of the Waterway Cleanup Series, sponsored by Clackamas Water Environment Services. The cleanup series will run from May to September, and we are looking for volunteers like you dedicated to making a meaningful impact and prevent trash from finding its way into our rivers. The series kickoff event will take place on May 9th along the Willamette River at Meldrum Bar Park in Gladstone from 10am - 12pm, and we need your help to make it a success! Please register in advance in order to get a free parking pass. Help us preserve this 85 acre park, over 30% of which is made up of natural vegetation and wetlands. We hope to see you there!
Advanced Registration: Is highly suggested but not required. Please sign up (green button below) ahead of time to guarantee your spot.
Meeting Location: Volunteers will take a left turn at Dahl Park Rd when entering Meldrum Bar Park and will meet under the gazebo by the community garden and baseball field.

What to Bring: Please wear closed-toed shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a backpack for hands-free convenience. Feel free to bring your personal tools if available and a reusable water bottle to support our sustainability efforts.
What's Provided: SOLVE will provide all supplies including high vis vests, trash grabbers, gloves, and trash bags.
Restrooms: There will be a restrooms available to volunteers at the park.
Parking: There is a parking lot near the meeting location that will be available to volunteers.
Transit: Trimet Bus Line #33 has stops along SE McLoughlin Blvd approximately .5 miles from the check in location.
Accessibility: This area may not be easily accessible for folks with mobility concerns.
Translation Services: There will not be a Spanish speaker present at this event.
Participant Age Guidelines: Volunteers between the ages of 13-17 may participate without an authorized adult.
