Cascade Locks Earth Day 2024

Come out for the inaugural Cascade Locks Earth Day celebration, sponsored by Visit Cascade Locks. Give back to the Gorge by stewarding beloved trails and town with a litter cleanup, then stick around for city-wide Earth Day activities including pub talks, hikes, kids crafts, and more.

Cleanup teams of up to 5 people each will disperse along the Historic Highway 30 State Trail, the Bridge of the Gods trailhead overlook, Pacific Crest Trailhead and Bridge of the Gods approach, Wa Na Pa Street , and the I-84 entrance ramp. 

Advanced Registration: Is required. Please sign up (green button below) ahead of time to guarantee your spot.

Meeting Location: Meet the Visit Cascade Locks and Keep Cascade Locks Clean crew at the Bridge of the Gods trailhead parking lot. The team will be setup by the mural at the overlook.

What to Bring: Please wear closed-toed shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a backpack for hands-free convenience. Feel free to bring your personal tools if available and a reusable water bottle to support our sustainability efforts.

What's Provided: Pickers, gloves, and bags will be provided.

Restrooms: Restrooms will be available at the PCT Trailhead (.1 mile walk from meeting site) and Overlook Park (.3 mile walk from meeting site).

Parking: Free parking for up to 10 vehicles is available in the trailhead parking lot. Free street parking along Wa Na Pa Street.

Transit: This cleanup is transit accessible via the CAT Columbia Gorge Express (0.4 mile walk from bus stop to meeting point).

Accessibility: This area is accessible for folks with mobility concerns.

Translation Services: There will not be a Spanish speaker present at this event.
