VFW Day of Service at Mary S Young Park
Please join the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 1324 in their 3rd Annual Day of Service event at Mary S Young Park in West Linn. We will be supporting the park by removing invasive plants, refreshing the pollinator garden, chipping trails, and removing litter (specific tasks will be settled as we get closer to the event). We recommend all participants wear clothes suitable for working in the forest (e.g., long sleeve shirts and pants, gloves, good shoes, hats). We will provide gloves to those that do not have gloves. We also provide all necessary tools. Bring a water bottle. We will have snacks for participants. The restrooms will be open in the park. Bring your family and friends. They may signup at the park.
Advanced Registration: Is highly suggested but not required. Please sign up (green button below) ahead of time to guarantee your spot.
Meeting Location: Follow the SOLVE signs and look for a registration tent.

What to Bring: Please wear closed-toed shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a backpack for hands-free convenience. Feel free to bring your personal tools if available and a reusable water bottle to support our sustainability efforts.
What's Provided: Tools, snacks, gloves.
Restrooms: There are two restrooms in the park. One is by the main picnic area and the other is by the ball fields.
Parking: There is plenty of parking in the park.
Transit: Not available nearby
Accessibility: This area is accessible for folks with mobility concerns.
Translation Services: There will not be a Spanish speaker present at this event.
