Earth Day at Peninsula Elementary School 2024

The Peninsula Elementary School PTA Green Team is leading an Earth Day event.  We are looking for volunteers interested in picking up trash around Kenton, or working on helping to make our school beautiful. This is a family friendly and kid-focused event.  We will have litter pick up, and arts and crafts. We will also be planting our playground green space and pruning and weeding existing raised beds. We have new raised beds in our school courtyard and we are very excited to plant some edible plants with students this Earth Day.  Come on by, dig in the dirt, pick up trash and engage with the community!

We would love to thank DePave for their continued support of our playground garden space. They are helping to fund our new plants and soil! DePave has worked with our school for many years to transform our blacktop playground, into a place with trees and plants. Lowe's has also generously supported our school gardening activities by donating new tools and supplies for our students and volunteers. Thank You so much Lowe's.
