2024 Overlook Neighborhood Spring Cleaning
It's time for some spring cleaning!
This year's Overlook Neighborhood Cleanup will partner with the Beach Community Union at Portland's Beach Elementary School to do a litter pickup throughout the neighborhood while also getting the garden on the school grounds tuned up for warmer weather ahead.
Neighbors who decide to pick up litter will get to choose a route through the neighborhood, with dumpsters distributed throughout. Gloves, pickers, and bags will all be provided by SOLVE for use at the event. Participants will also be rewarded with discounts and free items from a variety of local Overlook businesses.
Advanced Registration: Is highly suggested but not required. Please sign up (green button below) ahead of time to guarantee your spot.
Meeting Location: Volunteers will be meeting at the parking lot of Beach Elementary School (1710 N Humboldt St, Portland, OR 97217) . Look for the SOLVE signs.

What to Bring: Please wear closed-toed shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a backpack for hands-free convenience. Feel free to bring your personal tools if available and a reusable water bottle to support our sustainability efforts.
What's Provided: Gloves, Vests, Pickers, and Bags. Snacks and breakfast beverages will be provided.
Restrooms: No public restrooms are available
Parking: Street parking is ample. Please do not park in the parking lot, so as to provide space for the event to gather. There are multiple bike racks onsite.
Transit: Those choosing the MAX can travel to the Prescott Station on the Yellow Line and walk 5 blocks to the school. Those choosing a bus can consider using the #4 or #72 and then walking 5-8 blocks.
Accessibility: This area is accessible for folks with mobility concerns.
Translation Services: There will not be a Spanish speaker present at this event.
