Pioneer Cemetery Site Restoration Event
Let’s clean up Pioneer Cemetery! Together, we will be focusing on picking up litter, spring pruning of bushes, trees and roses, removing ivy, blackberry, holly, and sweet pea, cleaning moss off of headstones, monuments, and plots, and other general grounds cleaning to help prepare for the new season.
Advanced Registration: Is highly suggested but not required. Please sign up (green button below) ahead of time to guarantee your spot.
Meeting Location: Volunteers will meet at Pioneer Cemetery at the corner of Hoyt St. and Skopil St. 4 blocks west of Commercial.

What to Bring: Please wear closed-toed shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a backpack for hands-free convenience. Feel free to bring your personal tools if available and a reusable water bottle to support our sustainability efforts.
What's Provided: Volunteers will be provided with bags, trash grabbers, and gardening tools for site maintenance. We will have some work gloves available for volunteers but we recommend that you bring your own.
Restrooms: There will be public restrooms available to volunteers near the event location.
Parking: Free parking is available near the meeting location.
Transit: City bus lines are within walking distance of the meeting location.
Accessibility: This area may not be easily accessible for folks with mobility concerns.
Translation Services: There will not be a Spanish speaker present at this event.
