Love Your Mountain Home-July 2024
What better way to show your love for the mountain than by cleaning up?! Let's show our love for our mountain home! Join us at Mt. Hood Meadows to seek out those large and small pieces of litter and tossed recyclables we haven't yet collected in our year-round litter collections. It's a big mountain, and we could use your support on this equally big endeavor. After you're done helping keep Hood clean, come hang out on the deck, eat some food, take in the views and enjoy the day.
For your 2 hours of litter collecting, we are providing those 7years and older:
- 2 summer scenic chair ride vouchers for lift rides the day of, or another day we are open during summer operations (2024).
- $15 meal voucher good towards food and beverage at the Deck BBQ or Paradise Grill any day we’re open during summer operations (2024).
Event schedule:
- 9:30 to 10:30 check in waves of participants, each followed by brief welcome and safety talk.
- Check in ends at 10:30
- 1:00 event winds down
Check in will be streamlined.
We will have serval stations to check in pre-registered participants.
We will send volunteers out in waves as they arrive, rather than waiting for all to gather at once before being released.
Meet on the deck of the main lodge for check in and orientation.
Make sure to wear sturdy shoes, bring a water bottle, sun screen, gloves and garbage grabbers if you have them. Collection supplies are limited.
