Coraline's Curious Cat Trail - Pick Up
Join us as we do a litter pickup in Downtown Portland along the route for Coraline's Curious Cat Trail. We will meet and end at Director Park in Downtown Portland. What is Coarline's Curious Cat Trail? The Visit Downtown Campaign (run by Downtown Portland Clean and Safe, the Portland Metro Chamber, and the City of Portland) is partnering with the internationally acclaimed stop-motion movie studio, LAIKA Studios, known for its groundbreaking work in films like Coraline and Kubo of the Two Strings, this trail features thirty almost 6-foot-tall 'Cats' stationed throughout the city. Each cat becomes a canvas for local artists, transforming them into fur-midable and claw-some creations that celebrate the rich tapestry of Portland's vibrant art scene. At the end of the trail, the cat statues are auctioned off as a fundraiser for OHSU Dorenbecher Children's Hospital.

What to Bring: Please wear closed-toed shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a backpack for hands-free convenience. Feel free to bring your personal tools if available and a reusable water bottle to support our sustainability efforts.
What's Provided: High Vis-vests, gloves, garbage bags, pickers. Feel free to also bring your favorite gloves and trash picking devices.
Restrooms: One block away at Pioneer Courthouse Square
Parking: There are two large pay lots across from Director Park and there is metered parking
Transit: MAX Lightrail stops at the park and we are blocks from the Bus Mall.
Accessibility: This area is accessible for folks with mobility concerns.
Translation Services: There will not be a Spanish speaker present at this event.
