Ockley Green Middle School Community Care Day
Calling all Ockley Green parents, friends, students and neighbors! Please come out and help us freshen up our school grounds in preparation to welcome back staff and students for the 2024-25 school year. This year's tasks include:
Weeding of landscaped beds, along foundation of building, bike parking area, basketball court and staff parking lot.
Spreading mulch in lanscaped beds.
Removal of overgrown fennel along fence by Interstate Ave.
Replanting pots at front entrance.
Picking up litter.
Pruning shrubs
* As part of our continued commitment to reducing waste, we recommend bringing a reusable water bottle to this event.
* Signed PPS and SOLVE liability waivers will be required to participate and will be available at the event.
Advanced Registration: Is required. Please sign up (green button below) ahead of time to guarantee your spot.
Meeting Location: Volunteers will be meeting at the main entrance to check in. Look for the SOLVE signs.

What to Bring: Please wear closed-toed shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a backpack for hands-free convenience. Feel free to bring your personal tools if available and a reusable water bottle to support our sustainability efforts.
What's Provided: Mulch, yard debris collection bags, trash bags, litter grabbers, work gloves, shovels, hand gardening tools
Restrooms: School restrooms will be accessible during the event.
Parking: Parking is available but limited due to size of parking lot and nearby street parking.
Transit: Please visit trimet.org to plan your trip.
Accessibility: This area is accessible for folks with mobility concerns.
Translation Services: There will not be a Spanish speaker present at this event.
Participant Age Guidelines: Recommended for Ages 13 and Up
