Experience the Elk

Join us for a fun filled day on the amazing Elk River!

The beauty of the Elk River is enjoyed by many throughout the summer, from day trips to overnighters. With all that enjoyment happening, sometimes things get left behind. We will be taking care of those things so the Elk can remain clean and beautiful to be enjoyed by all for years to come.

We will be biking a gorgeous section the river from the Elk River Salmon Hatchery to Butler Bar Campground, stopping to pick up trash along the way. All are welcome to come, and bring their bikes with them. We will also have a number of e-bikes available, so if you’d like to sign up and use one of those please contact Robbie at 541-373-7068 or robbie.lascheck@currywatersheds.org.

Meeting Location: Volunteers will meet at the Elk River Salmon Hatchery parking lot by 9am

What to Bring: Please wear closed-toed shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a backpack for hands-free convenience. Feel free to bring your personal tools if available and a reusable water bottle to support our sustainability efforts.

What's Provided: We will provide all trash pickup equipment (trash bags, pickers, etc). We will also have a limited number of e-bikes available for use. See event description for more details on how to reserve an e-bike.

Restrooms: Bathrooms are available at the Elk River Salmon Hatchery, and Sunshine and Butler Bar campgrounds along the ride.

Accessibility: This area is accessible for folks with mobility concerns.

Translation Services: There will not be a Spanish speaker present at this event.
