Lents Pathways Beautification Cleanup Event

As summer winds down and the school year is here, let’s come together to create clean and serviceable pathways in the Lents community! Join us for a rewarding day of beautifying our neighborhood by cleaning up the thoroughfares from the Boys & Girls Club to Lents Elementary and from Lents Park to Bloomington Park.

Our mission is to transform these vital areas by removing litter, discarded items, and debris. But we’re not stopping there! We’ll also focus on the SE Steele Street Pedestrian Bridge, where we’ll tackle overgrown weeds, grass, and vegetation to ensure our sidewalks and pathways are pristine.

Your involvement will help make our community spaces safer and more welcoming for everyone. Let’s unite to make a difference—your energy and effort will help pave the way for a safer, cleaner neighborhood. Together, we can create a vibrant environment where our children and families can thrive!

Advanced Registration: Is highly suggested but not required. Please sign up (green button below) ahead of time to guarantee your spot.

Meeting Location: Volunteers will be meeting in the SE corner of Lents Park at 92nd & Steele St. Look for the SOLVE sign.

What to Bring: Please wear closed-toed shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a backpack for hands-free convenience. Feel free to bring your personal tools if available and a reusable water bottle to support our sustainability efforts.

What's Provided: Trash bags, gloves, grabbers, visibility vests (or wear your own bright clothing), and various gardening tools.

Restrooms: Restrooms are available in Lents Park near the playground

Parking: Street parking available around the park.

Transit: Take the max to Lents Town Center/SE Foster Rd and walk .4 miles to the site.

Accessibility: This area is accessible for folks with mobility concerns.

Translation Services: There will not be a Spanish speaker present at this event.

Participant Age Guidelines: Recommended for Ages 13 and Up
