Wilson River Cleanup - Tillamook State Forest
The Wilson River has been flooded with visitors this summer. Join us as we clean the riverbanks from Smith Homestead to the Tillamook Forest Center before the fall rains carry the debris to the sea. Please wear sturdy shoes and dress for weather. Cleanup supplies will be provided. We will start at the Smith Homestead Day Use Area and meet under the Forest Learning Shelter. We will clean up litter on the riverbank and in the day use area, and work on site maintenance such as pruning and pulling plants. Once we are done at Smith Homestead, we will drive (in your personal vehicle) to the Tillamook Forest Center, half a mile away, to continue cleaning the riverbank.
Advanced Registration: Is required. Please sign up (green button below) ahead of time to guarantee your spot.
Meeting Location: Meet at the Forest Learning Shelter in the Day Use Area, a short walk from the parking lot.

What to Bring: Please wear closed-toed shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a backpack for hands-free convenience. Feel free to bring your personal tools if available and a reusable water bottle to support our sustainability efforts.
What's Provided: All supplies will be provided. If you prefer to use your own gloves or grabbers, please bring them.
Restrooms: Pit toilets are available at Smith Homestead Day Use Area. Flushing indoor toilets are available at the Tillamook Forest Center.
Parking: Parking is available nearby in the day use lot at Smith Homestead. Once we are done at Smith Homestead, we will invite you to drive 1/2 mile to the Tillamook Forest Center, where there is also parking, to continue the cleanup there!
