Detrash Portland: Blossoming Stewardship

Bask in the beauty of the cherry blossoms while giving back to your community at our March Downtown Cleanup! With the trees in full bloom, there’s no better time to be outside, enjoying the scenery and making a difference.

This event is part of our ongoing efforts to revitalize downtown through the Detrash Portland series. Each month, we focus on a different section of downtown, bringing people together to remove litter and make a visible impact.

Before we kick things off, join us at 12:15 PM for an optional fun Icebreaker Bingo game! This is a great chance to connect with fellow volunteers, build community, and start the event on a high note.

The cleanup officially begins at 1:00 PM, starting with check-in, supply distribution, and a quick safety speech before we head out.

Advanced Registration: Is highly suggested but not required. Please sign up (green button below) ahead of time to guarantee your spot.

Meeting Location: We will be meeting outside of The Standard building on 5th Ave. Look for the SOLVE signs!

What to Bring: Please wear closed-toed shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a backpack for hands-free convenience. Feel free to bring your personal tools if available and a reusable water bottle to support our sustainability efforts.

What's Provided: Bags, grabbers, gloves, and hi-vis vests.

Restrooms: There are restrooms available inside of the building. Please see a SOLVE staff member for the key.

Parking: There is street parking available nearby.

Transit: Several bus and MAX lines run to downtown.

Accessibility: This area is accessible for folks with mobility concerns.

Translation Services: There will not be a Spanish speaker present at this event.
