Detrash Portland: Downtown SW Cleanup

Join us for a litter cleanup event to keep downtown beautiful! We’ll kick off the event with volunteer check-in, a brief safety speech, and the distribution of supplies to ensure everyone is ready to make an impact. From there, we’ll head out to clean up the surrounding area, working together to beautify the neighborhood and create a healthier, cleaner community. Let’s roll up our sleeves and make a difference—one piece of litter at a time!

As a thank-you for your hard work, we will be doing a free raffle for two personal styling appointments at Garnish Apparel (both including a $100 store credit)! Be sure to check back in with us at the end of the event to see if your ticket was selected as the winner. 

Advanced Registration: Is highly suggested but not required. Please sign up (green button below) ahead of time to guarantee your spot.

Meeting Location: We will be meeting outside of The Standard building on 5th. Look for the SOLVE signs!

What to Bring: Please wear closed-toed shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a backpack for hands-free convenience. Feel free to bring your personal tools if available and a reusable water bottle to support our sustainability efforts.

What's Provided: Vests, gloves, grabbers, and bags.

Restrooms: There are secured bathrooms available inside the building. Please see a SOLVE staff member for the key.

Parking: There is street parking nearby.

Transit: Several bus and MAX lines travel to downtown.

Accessibility: This area is accessible for folks with mobility concerns.

Translation Services: There will not be a Spanish speaker present at this event.
