Baltimore Woods

Digging  blackberriy root-wads in a field that has been mowed. Durning the summer blackberry vine climb on the native plants in this Upper Meadow. Now is a good time to dig out the roots. The ground is soft and the canes have been mowed down. Gloves, tools, snacks, & drinks are provided. Look for the green EVENT sign at 6994 N Edison. Nice open view of  Forest Park across the river.  Sneak up on the blackberries while they are sleeping and relieve the Checkermellow, Goldenrod, Sweet Pea, Lupin, etc of the weight of these vines!
