Imigisha Running Club Umuganda Clean-Up Event

Imigisha Running Club is partnering with the African Youth and Community Organization (AYCO) to help clean up a recently purchased plot of land behind the AYCO main facility. This space needs vegetation clean-up and removal to help AYCO host a graduation celebration in June.
This event is a the first “Umagnda” community clean-up that Imigisha Running Club is planning host on a regular basis. The concept of Umagnda comes from Rwanda (where co-founder Nahumo was born) where the community comes together once a month to work with the purpose of contributing to the overall national development. What a way to kick-off the Umagnda clean-ups by supporting AYCO prepare to host their graduation celebration!
Advanced Registration: Is required. Please sign up (green button below) ahead of time to guarantee your spot.
Meeting Location: Volunteers will meet in the AYCO Parking lot.

What to Bring: Please wear closed-toed shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a backpack for hands-free convenience. Feel free to bring your personal tools if available and a reusable water bottle to support our sustainability efforts.
What's Provided: Clean-up gear, light snacks and beverages
Restrooms: Bathrooms available in the AYCO facility.
Parking: Parking is availble on-site at AYCO.
Transit: Nike Biketown has a Kiosk at PCC across the street, 9 and 72 Buses have a stop 1 block away
Accessibility: This area is accessible for folks with mobility concerns.
Translation Services: There will not be a Spanish speaker present at this event.
Participant Age Guidelines: Recommended for Ages 13 and Up
