Community Volunteer Day at the Ankeny Hill Nature Center

Every 3rd Saturday of the month from 10am-12pm

No sign-up required and no experience or tools needed! We have all you need and plenty of projects we need help with. You'll help with everything from weeding, water and mulching to interpretation, brochure folding and event support.

Meeting Location: Volunteers will be meeting at the upper parking lot of the Ankeny Hill Nature Center entrance off Ankeny Hill Road.

What to Bring: Please wear closed-toed shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a backpack for hands-free convenience. Feel free to bring your personal tools if available and a reusable water bottle to support our sustainability efforts.

What's Provided: Gloves, Trash Bags, Trash Pickers, Hand Shovels, Knee Pads, and more!

Restrooms: Restrooms will be available at Gehlar Hall.
