Lair Hill Neighborhood Cleanup !

Walsh Construction Co. is hosting a Lair Hill Neighborhood Clean up including the Grover Tunnel & Darlene Hooley Pedestrian Bridge !

Please join Walsh Construction Co., the South Portland Neighborhood Association, Lair Hill Beautification, Cedarwood Waldorf School and SOLVE on Saturday, September 20! We will pickup trash in the neighborhood from 10:00 am until noon. 

This event is open to volunteers of all ages. Families with small children are welcomed to attend and can focus on picking up litter in the park. Picking up litter beautifies our public spaces. Everyone is welcome and no experience is necessary. We will also be working on the removal of invasive ivy from trees as well as cleaning the nearby Grover Pedestrian Tunnel and Darlene Hooley Pedestrian Bridge. If you are interested in supporting these efforts please come prepared. 

What to Bring: Please wear closed-toed shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a backpack for hands-free convenience. Feel free to bring your personal tools if available and a reusable water bottle to support our sustainability efforts.

Come help Walsh Construction and partners make the areas where we live and work a little cleaner. Many hands make light work!

What's Provided: SOLVE will provide trash grabbers, trash bags, work gloves, and high-vis vests.

Restrooms: No public restrooms are available

Parking: Walking/biking/taking Trimet to the event is encouraged. Free parking is available on the street, in front of the park.

Transit: Trimet Bus Stops and MAX Line are within walking distance!

Accessibility: This area is accessible for folks with mobility concerns.

Translation Services: There will not be a Spanish speaker present at this event.
