The Friends of the Ch'ak Ch'ak Trail and Sandy River End of Summer Clean Up

 

Join us for a few hours picking up litter in Troutdale along the Ch'ak Ch'ak Trail,  paddling the west banks of the Sandy River,  or cleaning up around the new Sharon Nesbit Park. This is your chance to see the new connections and trail network that follow the Sandy River in Troutdale. Explore the Sandy River Bridge multi use shared path on the west side of the sandy river, along Harlow Road and along three mile section of the new shared use Ch'ak Ch'ak trail (Chinook for Bald Eagle). This scenic area offers views of wildlife, viewpoints and short off paved trail excursions. 

 

Advanced Registration: Is highly suggested but not required. Please sign up (green button below) ahead of time to guarantee your spot.

Meeting Location: Volunteers will be meeting at the NW 257th Way entry point of the Ch'ak Ch'ak Trail, Follow the Solve signs to the northeast side of the columbia Gorge Outlet mallC east west Loo

What to Bring: Please wear closed-toed shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a backpack for hands-free convenience. Feel free to bring your personal tools if available and a reusable water bottle to support our sustainability efforts.

What's Provided: Supplies will include gloves, trash bags, trash grabber/pick up tools, safety vests, coffee, water, and snacks

Restrooms: Restrooms will be available at the outlet mall in the southeast corner or Starbucks

Parking: Street and angled in parking on NW 257th as well as mall parking area

Transit: Trimet Bus #77 has a bus stop on 257th for those not driving or biking to the event

Accessibility: This area is accessible for folks with mobility concerns.

Translation Services: There will not be a Spanish speaker present at this event.

Participant Age Guidelines: Recommended for Ages 13 and Up
