Seeds of Hope at Sunflower Farms-2025

You can help alleviate hunger and nurture the environment by lending a hand at Sunflower Farms!
We are facing an unpresidented hunger crisis in our community!  Hunger has increased 430 percent in SW Portland since COVID and it is getting worse with recent cuts to Food Stamps and funding for programs like Meals on Wheells. We just learned five hundred million dollars of funding has been cut to Oregon Food Banks!  You can help us plant Seeds of Hope at Sunflower Farms!

We need help with many fun projects! We are planting thousands of vegetables and flowers and we need help feeding our chickens and ducks.
Soon we will need help with harvesting vegetables and flowers. Once we open our flower stand we will need help making bouquets to sell. Sales from flowers helps us buy feed for chickens and ducks.
We are providing thousands of meals of organic vegetables and farm fresh eggs to feed homeless youth, low income families and seniors, but we cannot do this work without your help.  We are an all volunteer non-profit working 7 days a week to alleviate hunger and suffering. We just learned that commercial bee keepers have lost 70% of their bees this year further threatening crops.  In response to the bee crisis we will be planting thousands of pollinators as well as vegetables.  We have gloves and tools, just bring your enthusiasm! Thank you for caring and for joining us in garden, welcome to our community, we appreciate you!
We are looking for a few volunteers to cut flowers and make mason jar bouquets this summer, so if you are interested let us know by text or email.  We sell flowers to buy feed for our chickens and ducks who allow us to donate 3,000 eggs each year!
