Oregon Coast Aquarium's World Clean-Up Day Event

September 20, the Oregon Coast Aquarium is hosting a clean-up spanning from the start of SW Jetty Way to the beach! The event will run from 10am-12pm; we ask that participants arrive no later than 10:30am. Participants can stay for any duration and can choose to clean up any length of the 1-mile paved/gravel road or walk 1/4 mile to the beach. 

This event is not at the South Beach State Day Use Area. Please do not input "South Beach State Park" into your navigation app- use South Beach Jetty or SW Jetty Way to arrive at the correct location. 

Advanced Registration: Is highly suggested but not required. Please sign up (green button below) ahead of time to guarantee your spot.

Meeting Location: Volunteers will be meeting in the parking lot in front of the bathroom. Look for sign-up table, SOLVE signs, and aquarium employees.

What to Bring: Please wear closed-toed shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a backpack for hands-free convenience. Feel free to bring your personal tools if available and a reusable water bottle to support our sustainability efforts.

What's Provided: Gloves, trash bags, buckets, and pickers

Restrooms: Pit toilets are available at the gravel parking lot- there is no running water, so hand sanitizer will be required

Parking: The main parking lot is a large gravel lot; there is also street parking along the entirety of SW Jetty Way

Transit: Not available nearby

Accessibility: This area is accessible for folks with mobility concerns.

Translation Services: There will not be a Spanish speaker present at this event.
