Willamette River Cleanup
Join us for a stewardship day dedicated to the Willamette River, where we will remove litter from the river and prevent debris from entering our waterways. Together, we can improve water quality and enhance wildlife habitats! This event, in collaboration with The Oregon Marine Board, and CEIC businesses such as Subaru of Portland, and Next Adventure, aims to make a lasting impact on the Willamette River, and the Central Eastside Business Community. By participating, we can foster a sense of pride among business owners and patrons.
This hybrid event will include volunteers cleaning up trash along the Eastbank Esplanade and the CEIC business blocks, while participants on canoes, kayaks, paddleboards, and boats will remove trash from the river itself. Volunteers will meet at the north OMSI parking lot to begin the cleanup efforts. This family-friendly event is open to people of all ages, and we hope to see you there!
One last thing: Next Adventure strives to keep the outdoors clean and accessible to everyone. For the Willamette River Cleanup, volunteers get 50% off on boat rentals to help clean up the river from the water. Rent your boat onsite at event check-in, or call (503)233-0706 to rent by phone and pick your boat up a day early! You must be 18 years old to rent a boat.
