Waterway Cleanup Series Kickoff Event - Willamette River at Meldrum Bar Park
Join SOLVE for the kickoff event of the Waterway Cleanup Series, sponsored by Clackamas Water Environment Services! 🌊 The cleanup series will run from May to October, and we’re looking for volunteers like YOU to make a meaningful impact and help prevent trash from entering our rivers. 🌍
The series kickoff event will take place on May 6th along the Willamette River at Meldrum Bar Park in Gladstone from 10am - 12pm, and we need your help to make it a success!
Help us preserve this 85-acre park, over 30% of which is made up of natural vegetation and wetlands. 🌿
And, don’t forget—we’ll have a raffle for a swag bag 🎁! We hope to see you there and work together to keep our waterways clean! 💧
Advanced Registration: Is highly suggested but not required. Please sign up (green button below) ahead of time to guarantee your spot.
Meeting Location: Volunteers will take a left turn at Dahl Park Rd when entering Meldrum Bar Park and will meet under the gazebo by the community garden and baseball field.

What to Bring: Please wear closed-toed shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a backpack for hands-free convenience. Feel free to bring your personal tools if available and a reusable water bottle to support our sustainability efforts.
What's Provided: SOLVE will provide all supplies including high vis vests, trash grabbers, gloves, and trash bags.
Restrooms: There will be a restrooms available to volunteers at the park.
Parking: There is a parking lot near the meeting location that will be available to volunteers. Once you arrive, please bypass the parking station. SOLVE volunteers will receive a free parking pass.
Transit: Trimet Bus Line #33 has stops along SE McLoughlin Blvd approximately .5 miles from the check in location.
Accessibility: This area may not be easily accessible for folks with mobility concerns.
Translation Services: There will not be a Spanish speaker present at this event.
