Detrash Portland: Downtown at The Benson

Join SOLVE for a special downtown cleanup outside The Benson Hotel this December! Help keep Portland’s city center clean and welcoming during the holiday season, then take a moment to enjoy the hotel’s beautiful festive Christmas display inside.

The event begins with check-in, supply distribution, and a brief safety speech before volunteers head out to remove litter from the surrounding streets. All supplies are provided—just dress for the weather and bring your holiday spirit!

Advanced Registration: Is highly suggested but not required. Please sign up (green button below) ahead of time to guarantee your spot.

Meeting Location: We will be meeting outside of The Benson Hotel. Look for the SOLVE table and signs!

What to Bring: Please wear closed-toed shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a backpack for hands-free convenience. Feel free to bring your personal tools if available and a reusable water bottle to support our sustainability efforts.

What's Provided: Gloves, vests, grabbers, and bags.

Restrooms: Bathrooms are available inside the hotel.

Parking: There is street parking available nearby, as well as a a lot just south of the hotel down Broadway.

Transit: The MAX Green and Red Line, and bus #12.

Accessibility: This area is accessible for folks with mobility concerns.

Translation Services: There will not be a Spanish speaker present at this event.
